Community Action partnership of Providence (CAPP)

Description

Contracts with community centers and other social service agencies to assist low income individuals and families. Provides home energy assistance (assists with heating and utility bills), home weatherization, emergency shelter, emergency food, food pantry, emergency rental assistance, elderly and handicapped transportation, distributes federal surplus commodities, employment training programs and information/referral assistance, adult basic education, youth recreation and diversion, ESL, GED, summer youth and case management. Division of clinical services offers substance abuse counseling at Providence Interim Middle School (P.I.M.S.)
